Witnesses

Make sure your Will is properly witnessed. Failure to do so will make your Will invalid.
You need two independent persons present at all times when signing your Will. They do not need to know what is in the Will but only to know what document is being signed and that the document is understood and approved by you .
Witnesses must be over 18 years of age.
Neither Witness should be related to you or anyone mentioned in your Will. either by blood,marriage or civil partnership. They may however be related to each other.
Once dated and signed by you on the final page in prescence of the witnesses ask them to add their usual signatures together with their full name,address, phone number and occupation.
If you need to correct the Will in any way do it before it is signed and the amendment must be initialled by you and your witnesses.
Failure to follow these guidelines will make your Will invalid
